How do I find Americus FUMC?

Our church address is 200 South Lee Street in Americus, Georgia. View the map When you park in our parking lot, the Education Building will be the first structure you see. Our Contemporary Service is in the Fellowship Hall, just inside the doors and to the right. Our Traditional Service is in the historic Sanctuary. To get to the Sanctuary walk through the Education Building down the main hallway and to the left or following the walking path around the building to the Sanctuary. Our Hispanic Service meets in the Chapel, which is directly in front of the Education Building.

What can I expect when I visit?

We are thrilled that we might see you in worship as our guest soon! Expect to be greeted warmly with some good old southern hospitality throughout your visit with us. We are a diverse congregation, coming from many different backgrounds and walks of life. You will find newborns, toddlers, children, teens, young adults, 20, 30, and 40 somethings, baby boomers, and senior adults all on one campus coming together as one in the body of Christ to worship as a family. We would be delighted to have you join us and become the newest member of our family.

What do people wear?

There is no one set dress code at Americus First United Methodist. Feel free to come as you like. Most people in our Traditional Service are dressed in attire that could be classified as business casual. At our Contemporary Service and Hispanic Service, you will see anything from business casual to shorts and a t-shirt.
